Who are we

RV Diya Charitable Trust was born out of a gated villa community in Hyderabad, India. Like-minded and well-placed residents of the community, including entrepreneurs, IT Engineers, doctors, CA’s, ISB alumni, IIM Alumni, BITSian, etc., came together to form a circle of kindness to support the lesser privileged.

In 2016, on the pious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi – they decided to form groups and bid for Lord Ganesha’s Laddoo. Each group would then donate their highest bid for charity. Thus, started the concept of Community Charity Laddoo Auction. 

Subsequently, this culminated into a full-blown initiative – the RV Diya Charitable Trust. Slowly, other like-minded people from outside the community – entrepreneurs, professionals, home-makers started joining hands and the RV Trust has since grown. It now support more than 40 NGOs across the country.
