Matrudevobhava

Matrudevobhava is an orphanage for mentally challenged destitute orphans. Established in December 2018, the organisation operates an ashram located at Balapur Mandal, Rangareddy District, catering to mentally retarded orphans who are severely disadvantaged. These individuals are unable to care for themselves, resorting to eating from roadside dustbins, drinking drainage water, and sleeping on the streets. Many are unaware of society, their families, or their own circumstances, leading to dire situations including death due to lack of food and healthcare.

Within just three years of inception, the organisation has taken in 250 mentally retarded destitute orphans from various locations, including Hyderabad, Balapur, Meerpet, Badangpet, Nadargul, Adhibatla, Gurramguda, LB Nagar, BN Reddy Colony, and Sagar Ring Road. Of these, 150 have been successfully reintegrated with their families, while the remaining 100 receive comprehensive support services at the ashram. These services include shelter, accommodation, medication, and rehabilitation aimed at reintegrating them into society and normalising their lives.

The organisation also plans to provide vocational training and employment opportunities to those who do not have families or have successfully reintegrated into society. They conduct frequent “Beggars Free City” drives in Hyderabad to reach more individuals in need, responding to calls from the public regarding individuals requiring assistance on the streets. Additionally, they offer direct aid, including medication, counselling, and support aimed at improving the quality of life for these individuals and facilitating their reintegration into society.
